Could Keira Knightley Revisit the West End?
Hampton is currently working on a new script for the National and keeping Knightley close to mind. The Portuguese-born, British-bred playwright and film director first connected with the Academy Award-nominated actress for 2007's Atonement, which he penned the screenplay based on Ian McEwan's famous romance novel of the same title. The two also worked together on the upcoming movie, A Dangerous Method, which explores the relationship between psychoanalysts Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
"I think Keira is magnificent on stage," Hampton tells The Daily Telegraph. "I would love to have her involved."
Knightley is now appearing on big screens across the nation in FOX's psychological sci-fi drama, Never Let Me Go, also starring Carey Mulligan and lycra-loving Spider-Man Andrew Garfield.
