The Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann, Will Finally Hit DVD!
Daniel Hall of 2 Entertain, the folks behind many BBC DVDs, among them the fantastic line of classic Who, broke the news that the distributor finally reached an agreement to allow the 1996 TV Movie to be available on Region 1 for the first time ever!
Yes, this is totally sick news. Mr. Hall says that a release could happen within the next 12 months.
Paul McGann, best known for playing opposite Richard E. Grant in the 1986 comedy Withnail and I, has become the forgotten Doctor of sorts, the curious gap between the long-running classic series and the modern Russell T Davies/Steven Moffat era. We never saw him regenerate into Christopher Eccleston‘s Ninth Doctor. But here’s the chance for millions of Whovians to close a huge empty space in Doctor history, which is majorly cool.
When the Eighth Doctor DVD is released, will you be first in line to buy it?
