Catherine Tate, Ruth Jones To Appear in New Comedy Lineup

Doesn’t anybody remember laughter? Well, UK network Sky is bringing back the funny with a new comedy lineup that will feature Catherine Tate (Doctor Who, The Catherine Tate Show), Gavin & Stacey‘s Ruth Jones, Dawn French, Stephen Fry, and Kathy Burke (Absolutely Fabulous). Tate, Fry, Burke, French, and Victoria Wood (thanks, Loretta!) will appear in Little Crackers, “a season of short autobiographical films, each narrated by a different comedian, who will provide an insight into their past.” What happens when comedians look their lifelong demons in the face? Hilarity ensues, of course.

Jones is getting her own sitcom titled Stella, which sounds a bit like a UK-based Roseanne. Does Ruth Jones ever take a breather? She has like nine gabillion projects going on right now. Not that I’m complaining…she is one of the most talented and hysterically funny people on the planet.
