Talking Movies: Interview with Tilda Swinton
BBC Talking Movies host and Anglophenia contributor Tom Brook has just returned from the Sundance Film Festival, where he sat down with Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton.
She has a new film coming out called I Am Love, in which she portrays a Russian woman who has married into an elegant upper-middle-class Italian family. Deep melodrama ensues when her character, a trophy wife, falls for a younger man.
Swinton has described I Am Love as “Visconti on acid.” Tom talked to her about the film – and got her thoughts on what it was like two years ago when she was up for an Oscar for Michael Clayton.
