Noel Gallagher Has Quit Oasis
Noel Gallagher has announced that he has left Oasis, saying he could no longer bear working with his brother Liam: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” He also apologized to people who bought tickets to Oasis’ upcoming concert dates.
This is not entirely unexpected; rumors that the notoriously contentious band was breaking up had been flying for weeks now. If Noel’s decision sticks, it could be the end to one of the biggest British bands in history.
Here’s my red carpet interview with Noel from a couple years back at the 2007 BRIT Awards.
