Anglo For Your Ear: Marc Almond and Gene Pitney’s “Something’s Gotten Hold Of My Heart”

One of the most bizarre duets ever – and yet it works. Gene Pitney‘s record label reportedly refused to release the single in the U.S. because they feared it would be mistaken for a love ballad sung by two gay men. Were they kidding?
