BRITS 2008: Interview with Mark Ronson

I have had my issues with Mark Ronson‘s music, but his work with Amy Winehouse is magical. They certainly brought out the best in each other during their triumphant performance of “Valerie” on the BRITs; Winehouse looked more confident than she has in months, and it was a joy to see. Before he and Amy hit the stage, I briefly talked with Ronson on the red carpet about his Grammy win for Producer of the Year and Amy’s recent comeback.

Meanwhile, has Ronson agreed to produce the next Kaiser Chiefs album? He remade their single “O My God” with Lily Allen last year.

His Anglophilia stems from a high school love of Morrissey, whom he calls his "gateway drug" into British culture.
