I’ve never thought The Horrors were a particularly interesting band. But while watching TV here in London, I noticed that the BBC was using “She Is the New Thing” in an ad promoting their new show, Being Human. The song’s “96 Tears”-esque organs have been stuck in my head ever since. The animated video, featuring decapitations, eyes being plucked out by crows, and beating hearts being devoured, is a bit much.
