Anglo For Your Ear: Nick Berry’s “Every Loser Wins”

Last week, I brought you a No. 1 from British actor-turned-singer Jimmy Nail. This week, Ioffer the sensitive 1986 ballad “Every Loser Wins” by popular EastEnders star Nick Berry, who played Simon Wicks (no relation)on the UK soap in the ’80s. It was a HUGE hit in the UK – it was No. 1 for three weeks – despite being rather, well, crap. (The description for the YouTube clip simply states, “How bad is this?”) Butit’s good for a laugh…I’m sure it will become a party favorite for you and your pals.
