For all you lonely lovers out there. This Irish-born, English-raised singer had a string of megahits in the UK, including this one from 1972. Oddly, though, it was a much bigger smash in the U.S., clocking in six weeks at No. 1 here while peaking at No. 3 across the Atlantic.
