Anglo For Your Ear: Paul Weller’s “Wild Wood”
A lilting acoustic number, it’s the one Paul Weller solo record that many fans rate as highly as his work with The Jam. It hit No. 14 on the UK pop charts back in 1993. Pop singer Gabrielle recently sampled “Wild Wood” for her single, “Why,” and Weller even recorded new vocals for it.
I’m really not feelin’ Paul’s ‘do in the original video, though.
