Everything But the Girl, a duo consisting of singer Tracey Thorn and multi-instrumentalist Ben Watt, had their first international hit, 1995’s “Missing,” 13 years into their career. They had their first major hit in the UK seven years earlier, with 1988’s “I Don’t Want To Talk About It,” a Crazy Horse song once covered by Rod Stewart. EBTG put their own smooth jazz take on it. Tracey Thorn’s vocal is basically one prolonged sigh, backed up with subtle percussion and Watt’s strumming.

And my oh my, Ben Watt was a looker back in the day.
