Rihanna’s “Umbrella” Has Surpassed Mika’s “Grace Kelly” as 2007′s Top Song

Mika‘s “Grace Kelly” was recently voted the eighth most-irritating song of all-time. However, the song was on track to becoming 2007′s biggest song, due to its five-week run at No. 1 back in the winter. Thankfully, Rihanna and her behemoth smash, “Umbrella,” came in and rescued the year from such an embarrassing fate. Her song has topped the charts for six weeks, and she has given no indication of loosening her grip. She even held off a charge from another cheeseball, curly-haired upstart, Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead. Forget Gordon Brown: Rihanna for Prime Minister, seriously.

His Anglophilia stems from a high school love of Morrissey, whom he calls his "gateway drug" into British culture.
