BRITS 2007 Red Carpet: Interview with Corinne Bailey Rae

This was my first interview on the red carpet and my most long-winded. I watch this and want to say "STFU" to myself. Ms. Bailey Rae was warm and friendly, if a bit rehearsed-seeming (I imagine that's her nature). She was losing her voice, which makes me that much more grateful for her agreement to chat. Listen to Corinne's take on the Grammys and the "aura" of Oprah.

While not British himself - he was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri - he once received inordinate hospitality in London for sharing the name of a dead but beloved EastEnders character. His Anglophilia stems from a high school love of Morrissey, whom he calls his "gateway drug" into British culture.
